Taking electrical solutions to the next level
At East Europe, since 1978, many things have changed, but there are others that we have vowed to keep at the heart of our focus, never altering them. Such as our curiosity about innovation and our commitment to sustainable growth.
In fact, over all these years, we have never stopped. We began this journey in 1978 as a small local business and have since grown into a solid EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) company, a leader in the supply of electronic components, with a 10,000-square-metre facility in the Slovak Republic. This extraordinary growth has been the result of our deep-seated motivation; through perseverance and commitment, we have consistently risen to meet every challenge posed by the electronics sector.
At Eas Europe, ‘family’ is an important word. For us, however, family is not just a blood tie; it is, in fact, the desire for excellence that unites all the people who have contributed to our growth over the years and continue to do so, dedicating themselves passionately to this project and enabling Eas Europe to become a benchmark in the electronics supply sector.
The SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) process has become the most widely used technology, thanks to the small size of the components and the ability to solder them on both sides of the board.
We invest heavily in this process, utilising Pick & Place, SPI, 3D AOI and reflow ovens in an inert (nitrogen) atmosphere, which are among the most sophisticated and technologically advanced on the market. The production lines are supported by automated warehouses with controlled temperature and humidity, which manage component traceability and real-time stock reconciliation.
THT process and soldering technologies
The THT process was the first technology used to manufacture printed circuit boards. It involves components fitted with leads that are inserted into the holes in the printed circuit board and is often combined with SMT technology.
Components are mounted onto the printed circuit board using automatic insertion machines or manually. At EAS, the soldering process is carried out using automatic selective soldering machines, or wave soldering machines in an inert atmosphere (nitrogen) and with dual-wave vibration technology.
Process inspections (SPI, AOI, X-ray)
Process inspections are essential for standardising processes and driving continuous improvement. In particular, in the SMT process, 3D SPI machines are used to inspect the application of solder paste, whilst 2D or 3D AOI machines are used to verify the correct positioning and soldering of components.
To verify the quality of solder joints that cannot be inspected visually (e.g. BGA, µBGA), we use a 3D X-ray machine. All these inspections ensure a zero-defect process.
Testing
All your products undergo a series of checks and tests to ensure maximum reliability and compliance with specifications. We are equipped to carry out microprocessor programming, ICT and functional testing using Fly-Probe or needlebed fixtures, as well as tests in a climate chamber.
Our qualified staff engineer and develop test systems using the National LabVIEW interface, whilst also designing and manufacturing needle-bed fixtures in-house. Every test carried out is recorded and stored to ensure traceability.
Cleaning, conformal coating, resin coating
Conformal coating (or tropicalisation) ensures that electronic products continue to perform reliably even in harsh environments, such as those with dust, humidity, salt spray or other atmospheric agents. The controlled and precise application of polyurethane, acrylic or silicone conformal coating is carried out at EAS using three separate robotic production lines.
We also have a facility for manual application, immersion and resin coating with a drying cabinet. To ensure the removal of all impurities from the circuit boards, we use an automatic washing system with water-based products.
Product assembly and finishing
To complement the services we offer, EAS also carries out a wide range of electromechanical and pneumatic assembly work, as well as the wiring of cabinets and electronic equipment, including the provision of any specialised packaging.
